Adobe and Microsoft announced a deal on March 17 which will allow Microsoft to license Adobe’s Flash Lite and PDF Reader LE for future versions of Windows Mobile based phones.

I’m not sure how Flash will work on such a small screen as a mobile phone, even with the iPhone’s larger screen you still need to zoom into a page in order to press links. Anyway I think this is good for a couple of reasons:

• Producing different version of a website or application for different devices is closer to being unnecessary; and
• In doing so we can rationalise the domain names and hopefully forget .mobi ever existed.
